Dr. Rawiya Elrufay has over 21 years of expertise in critical care medicine and infectious diseases. As an intensivist, she provided comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Medical and Neuro ICU. Her responsibilities included diagnostics, formulating and executing care plans, and performing procedures such as central lines, endotracheal intubation, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and POCUS. She worked with multidisciplinary care teams and also took on a teaching role with residents and fellows during her time at Allegheny Health Network.
Dr. Kian Makipour is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He treats diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas, and liver, with advanced training in therapeutic/interventional endoscopy. Dr. Makipour completed his residency and fellowship at Temple University Hospital, where he also served as a faculty member. He has presented numerous abstracts at national meetings and authored several manuscripts. His research areas include colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and small bowel bacterial overgrowth.

Dr. Ghazvini is a specialist in electrophysiology procedures aimed at correcting various cardiac arrhythmias. He has extensive experience in performing cardiac ablations and implanting pacemakers, biventricular devices, and defibrillators. Notably, he is a pioneer in catheter ablation without using X-rays, which is particularly beneficial for patients who wish to avoid excessive X-ray exposure. He has performed over a thousand such procedures, including on pregnant patients, with excellent outcomes and a very low complication rate.
Dr. Ghazvini is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He has served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology and the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory at Howard University Hospital and College of Medicine for nine years. Currently, he is the Director of Cardiac Ablation and Electrophysiology at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. He is also recognized as a distinguished teacher and educator.
Dr. Ghazvini completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship training at Howard University Hospital, followed by two additional years of advanced fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at George Washington University Hospital.
Dr. Labbaf is a highly accomplished neurologist with a specialization in neurophysiology and epilepsy. He completed his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he focused on managing refractory epilepsy through various methods, including medication, neuro-stimulation, ketogenic diet, and surgery evaluation. He is skilled in interpreting long-term video EEG monitoring, performing electromyography, nerve conduction studies, and skin biopsies for neuromuscular diseases.
Dr. Labbaf completed his neurology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently an assistant professor at VCOM Medical School, where he trains medical students interested in neurology. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" for 2024 and in previous years.
